Leasing Questions
No appointment is necessary to tour our community. However, it is always appreciated if you call ahead to make sure we are available to provide adequate time for you to tour and ask questions. You can also set your own appointment by selecting Schedule a Tour on our website. Please arrive no later than one half hour prior to closing if you would like to tour the property. Everyone over 18 must have a valid photo ID to tour the community.
Our apartment homes are priced individually based on the amenities and features.
Application fees are $60.00 per person ages 18 and older occupying the apartment. All fees are non-refundable. You may pay this fee online for no additional cost, using your checking account and routing number or by credit card (a small fee would apply).
A one-time non-refundable Holding Fee of $100 is due at the time of application, and will hold the apartment off the market while we process your application.
The administrative fee is a non-refundable $100 fee that is due at move in.
Applications may be found under the floor plans tab of our property website, or you can stop in the office for a paper application during business hours.
Residents are responsible for gas and electric. Our communities bill back for water, sewage, trash and pest control fees.
Security deposits for all floorplans start out at $300 and can increase up to two month's rent, based off of the application screening. Applications that don't fully meet the requirements may be approved with a qualified guarantor, subject to our discretion.
Rent is always due on the 1st and a $100 late fee is assessed on the 6th of every month and another $100 late fee is assessed on the 11th of every month (even Sundays and holidays). A NSF fee of $25 will be charged for any returned monies.
You can pay rent by setting up your online account on our website. This allows you to use a bank account (no fee) or credit card (with fee) to make payments. Additional options are available through our Monarch App on your phone : Text to Pay, Scan and Go or our cash alternative forms of payments; such as, WIPS or Paylease Cash Pay are also available to make paying rent a little more convenient. GetFlex also partners with this property - so you can pay rent on your schedule, without penalty!
Up to 2 pets, cats or dogs, are allowed. Any number of pets living in the apartment will then require a one-time, non-refundable fee per pet. Monthly pet rent per pet. Resident Questions
Yes. You will need to provide a 60-day notice and pay a buy-out fee that is equal to two months' rent. Please make sure that you reference your signed lease agreement and confirm policies with your Property Manager as there could be unique circumstances.
Yes, service members can break their lease without penalty in certain circumstances through the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). Please contact the property manager as soon as possible in this situation. You will need to provide written notice and a copy of your military orders.
If you love our apartments and want to refer a friend, please let our office know! We offer resident referral programs throughout the year and would love for your friends and family to join our community.
You may call the office, send an e-mail, or leave a message with the answering service. You may also submit work orders online if you are enrolled in our online services.
Yes, if someone is temporarily staying with you, please let the office know so we can accommodate for parking. If someone is permanently moving in, or staying longer than 2 days, they will need to fill out an application to be added to your lease agreement.
We require a 60-day written notice, which you are responsible for, prior to move-out. If you need to move-out at the end of your lease term, please remember to come in 60 days prior to the lease expiring to provide your written notice.
Grilling on property is prohibited. However, you may use our on-site charcoal grills located throughout the property. Call or email the office for details.
If you are locked out during business hours, you can come to the office to be let back in your apartment or garage. Please do not call emergency maintenance. You must call a locksmith if you are locked out after normal business hours.
If you have lost your keys, you may have new keys made at our office during business hours for a small fee.
This property participates in a controlled parking program that permits only residents and guests to use the parking lot. Vehicle registration is mandatory and one vehicle per lease holder is permitted.
Yes! We have partnered with a national renter's insurance provider that offers a policy that meets our minimum requirements. For your convenience, you can enroll online at www.ePremiumInsurance.com or by calling 1-800-319-1390. If you enroll with ePremium, they will automatically send us your proof of coverage upon policy activation, so there is nothing further you would need to do.
If you elect to obtain coverage from another insurance carrier, you will be required to provide proof of this coverage to the leasing office and the policy must meet our minimum requirements of $100,000 Liability Coverage and $10,000 Personal Property Coverage. The Retreat at Walnut Creek Apartments must be listed as an additional interested party or interested party on your renter's insurance policy:

Walnut Creek is amazing! The staff is so incredibly helpful, they are so quick to answer any and all questions that I have. The amenities are great, I absolutely love the pool! The gym has great equipment, and is never too crowded. I can not say enough great things about the apartments and the people that work there! I wish I could give them 10 stars!

Amazing Customer service! I will start off by saying that this apartment community has been the best I have worked with! They are all always so polite, helpful, and so so friendly. The community is very well kept and the area is beautiful, I absolutely love being able to see small wildlife near the pond when I go for walks. Update Feb. 2025: I just signed my 4 year lease & still enjoy residing here! Want to add that management has an event scheduled monthly for us residents. For this month, we are having a wine tasting and strawberry bar, in Jan. it was pizza & board games. I’m always looking excited for our summer pool & bbq party! Also, our weight room has a brand new makeover with new equipment and fresh paint! So many amenities here including a dog park & pickleball court too!
